Phase One Receives Approval

Last week, the City of Rockville Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve the Site Plan for Phase One of Twinbrook Quarter.

Phase One is located on the southwest corner of the property at Rockville Pike and Halpine Road and includes residential, office and commercial space, including a new Wegmans. The Site Plan provides detail about our vision for the site by showing building design, roads, pedestrian space, parking areas, landscaping and more.

On behalf of the Twinbrook Quarter development team, I want to extend our thanks to the many Rockville residents and organizations that have supported this project over the years. This is a victory for the entire community. Ultimately, this is a better project because of all of the feedback we received from community members and neighbors.

Our next step is to obtain the permits necessary to commence pre-construction work, including demolition of the structures on the Phase One site. As always, we will keep you posted on our progress.

Phase One is the first of seven phases that comprise Twinbrook Quarter. We are looking forward to continuing our most valuable partnership with the community as we look ahead to future phases.
